An Unexpected Pleasure
Jan. 28th, 2006 12:10 pmGo see "The Unexpected Guest!"
We went to Arlington last night for dinner in Arlington Center,
then to the Friends of the Drama production to see the show my
sister E directed this winter. It was marvelous! I love those
Agatha Christie mystery moments...so British and PBS and all.
It held my interest the entire time, and I didn't figure it out early
on, which was a rare treat. They have a fun contest to guess
"who dun it" at intermission.
It was great to see the Theatre@First guys in different roles.
Kudos to J, D, M & M! The cast is first rate. And the set amazing.
Where do they get those African big game animals for the walls?
It was great to see lots of TaF folks in the audience. I saw over
a dozen familiar faces in the packed house.
And it is always fun for me as a producer to see another theatre
company at work, how they do many things as we do, and some
things differently. I drooled over their extensive membership list
that adorns the back page...
