My dear husband has been working very, very hard on a most excellent show for Halloween. Please come to see the show! Bring your friends! See what he and a gaggle of folks have been up to since August. There's a comedy to laugh at, and a couple of spooky stories, and lots of cool live sound effects!

Here's the scoop:

Try some new tricks and treats this Halloween!

See three live radio plays in Somerville!

"Tomes of Terror II" will be performed Monday through Wednesday, October 29th through 31st, at 7:30 PM at the First Congregational Church of Somerville, 89 College Avenue, four blocks up from the Davis Square T Station. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for students and seniors.

The Post-Meridian Radio Players' live shows feature local actors, a team of artists making live sound effects with everyday (and not-so-everyday) objects, atmospheric digital audio effects, live musical accompaniment and a creepy, enigmatic host called The Librarian.

This year's Halloween 'Staged-Radio Thrillogy' will feature:

• "Halloween Party" — From the classic comedy series Our Miss Brooks, produced during the Golden Age of Radio,

• "Carmilla" — the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula, is a chilling Gothic horror story about the wiles of a female vampire of childish fantasy and lost innocence.

• "The Stone Ship" - based on William Hope Hodgson's eerie 1914 sea-bound thriller, it's a tale of terror on the high seas.

Further information about the show, ticket reservations, and the PMRP in general may be found on their website at http://www.pmrp.org. You can also email info@pmrp.org or call 888-874-7554 for ticket reservations.
