The Feds are back

bex77I chatted with the Feds! For the first time ever...real FBI agents!
I was waiting for N. to get the mail in the lobby of our condo building on Wednesday night, and noticed a couple of well-dressed people motioning me to let them into the building. I figured they were real estate agents, as most people know they can't get let in, except the super-sales types. I looked at them skeptically, and the lady pulled out something and pressed it against the glass door. I thought I'd be looking at a card from a real estate agency, but then I saw big letters - F B I. I opened the door.
She asked us if we knew about their earlier search. Didn't mention what it had been about, but we knew she meant the Tylenol Killer case that caused a two -day ruckus here earlier in the year. We nodded.
She asked if we'd interacted with the guy. N. said they'd chatted casually as neighbors do, but that it stopped about 3-4 years ago (when he was in jail awaiting trial on another matter.)
Then came the real question - she asked if he had ever asked us to store anything for him. We said no. She wrote down our names and condo unit and thanked us.
N. says that means they didn't find anything in his stuff, and are branching out to ask all the neighbors. I can't figure out what they think they're going to find after more than 25 years, but more power to them.
We went home and five minutes later, there was a knock at the door - another agent was canvassing the floor! N. told him we already talked to an agent downstairs.
Ah, the joys of condo life with interesting neighbors and the Feds.
