Heading South and home

N. and I had a lovely last few hours of vacation in NH today.
We got up early this morning, because the condo people make you leave by 10 am! We had to pack and erase every sign of our being there - putting all the linens in a big bag, putting away all the dishes, taking out the trash, closing and locking windows, putting furniture "back the way it was." I did the upstairs while N. took care of downstairs. We locked up and took one last drive down to the lakefront to look at the water and the mountains...another gorgeous day!
We headed out to the airport to eat breakfast. I looked online for places to have breakfast, but decided Kitchen Cravings was so special, we should go back there.

There were lots of people milling around outside, so I was worried about a long wait, but when I went in to ask, she said those were large groups and she could seat two people right away! I saw a plate of eggs benedict with shaved ham on the way in and decided to try that. N. got the lobster quiche "so you can taste it." He loves me. :) His plate came with a delicious fresh fruit salad with cantalope and honeydew melon, watermelon, blueberries, strawberries and blueberries! This place is amazing!
We headed South through the Lake Winnisquam area and on to I-93. We stopped in Salem, NH near Canobie Lake Park to shop at Walmart on Rte 28. They have a Super Walmart - the combo grocery and department store version. And there's no sales tax! We picked up lots of kitty supplies and non-perishables for cheap. We ate a quick lunch at Wendy's. It was not creepy like the ones around us. Back down Rte 93 - the north bound lanes were completely blocked for long stretches, but we sailed home heading South.
We had such a wonderful two days away...felt like longer with all we were able to see and do and eat! But there are definitely more places we need to explore, so we hope to go back up there soon.
