Elephant artiste

Take a look at an elephant painting. Long but worth it.

I have a thing for elephants, especially ones that can paint better than I can.

They say it's a self-portrait, but I get this vibe that the elephant is telling a story about a moment from the past...maybe the day he met his lady love and gave her a flower...maybe it's her instead? No way to tell...

It is wonderful that there is somewhere where they can retire and paint.

Aww, smart elephant! I wonder if it's self-generated, or is the elephant simply recreating the strokes that has been shown to it? I definitely believe an elephant can memorize and mimic brush strokes that it has been taught...kind of like how parrots can mimic language. Whether it can come up with something like that on its own, I have my doubts. Either way, it is certainly very intelligent, and I'm probably just jealous because it is a better painter than I am.
