Boston Market, Everett
Sep. 13th, 2009 06:57 pmBelieve it or not, I didn't go out to a fancy restaurant for dinner with a bunch of people tonight, and I don't have a glowing review!
N. was busy, so I consulted my list of "places N. would rather not eat" and chose Boston Market in Wellington Circle. I wanted to try their new "crispy country chicken."
Sad to say, the "crispy chicken" is not crispy. It's one small cutlet of breaded chicken. Blah. And the country gravy, (white -like you'd see on chicken fried steak in the South) is also blah. The mashed potatoes used to be the highlight, but not anymore. Blah. The corn was..corn. The stuffing was inedible. I like their lemonade, but it's Minute Maid. Same as you'd buy at the grocery store.
And the service was...rude. The guy was leaning against the cutting counter on one elbow in that "trying to stay awake" posture, took a deep breath and said, "Next..." then rolled his eyes at everything I said. I swear I didn't ask for anything special. Just one meal, two sides, one extra side. Made it clear it was a major chore to serve me. Put my meal out of order on the line to the cashier, so he tried to charge the guys ahead of me for my dinner. *sigh*
Maybe N. is on to something...I will add Boston Market to my list of "places I'd rather not eat." Ah, well, can't find a gem every night!
