We need one more actor for our show!
If you'd like to play a fun role with a fun group of folks, join us this Sunday, February 12th from 1pm to 2:30pm at the First Congregational Church of Somerville, 89 College Ave. We'll be holding open auditions for the part of Mr. Kirby in "You Can't Take It With You. It will consist of cold readings as Mr. Kirby - no monologues.
The look and feel that is being sought is:
Mr. Kirby (Male, age 40-50)
Physically, he should be able to play believably as 40-50 years old, be very clean-cut (or willing to become so), and be able to affect the voice and mannerisms of a 1930s New York businessman. Mr. Kirby is Tony's father, a wealthy Wall Street businessman who heads his own financial firm. He is very conservative and proper, and is put into the odd position of reconciling his own views with those of the family his son is preparing to marry into. He sincerely wants what's right for Tony, but is also concerned with his family's social standing, and though he is as polite as possible, he finds the Vanderhofs baffling at best
Please encourage anyone you know that might suit the part to come audition.
Thanks!
