Would you eat this donut?

Dunkin Donuts is having a "design a donut" contest in honor of their 60th birthday. They let you put together a new combination of various elements, give it a name and explain why you picked those elements. I clicked around and decided on a jelly donut with pomegranate raspberry filling, chocolate icing and red/purple sprinkles on top. I called it the "Chocolate Raspberry Sensation." A triple treat with the best combo in the world - chocolate and raspberry - jazzed up by the trendy pomegranate in the form of a traditional jelly donut. Somehow, I don't think my future is in donut design.

I don't usually care for jelly donuts, but I didn't know they had something called "pomegranate raspberry filling" in the world! I would prefer a jelly donut with a chocolate donut component.

DUNKIN!

I miss Dunkin because they already have my perfect donut -- the powdered one with chocolate mousse inside it instead of jelly -- and we don't have them up here.

Also cheap iced coffee. The first time one of our CEOs came up here during the summer he was astonished that he couldn't get iced coffee at Tim Horton's and had to pay $tarbucks prices for it.

Also, Tim Horton's in some areas does/did have a donut similar to what you describe. There's no pomegranate, but it had chocolate icing on top (like a Boston creme) and raspberry filling inside. They called it Black Raspberry.

It was a southeastern Ontario thing. I saw it somewhere north of Guelph.

In a word: Yes! Yum.
