Ode to Academia
Dec. 18th, 2009 04:09 pmWhen I leave the office today, there is a stretch of 16 days in which I only have to work 1 day. WOOT!
Between my boss, who lets us split up covering the office next week, and the holidays, and Harvard's "Winter recess" between Christmas and New Year's, I get 15 days off without having to take a vacation day. The prospect of this respite is bliss. I should make grand plans, but I haven't. I am looking forward to not working, and having the time to do things I only do when I've had the 4th or 5th day off in a row...a very rare thing.
I love academia. I am so lucky!
